History of the Production and Performance Details

Now ready for your stage, The JURY has gone through workshops and development over the last three years. Audience responses have been positive, but when negative, the authors have addressed those issues. The show has benefitted from recommendations from other dramatists, evaluations from producing organizations, and continued work on the script and songs.

The JURY was first produced in 2003 at The Country Playhouse in Houston, Texas, to full houses. A revised version was performed in the Fringe Festival in 2005 in Minneapolis. (A CD from the 2005 performance is available.)

The show is in two acts, and takes place over 100 minutes. There are 22 songs, not including reprises. These songs cover a variety of popular Broadway styles from reggae to Gospel. Solos reflect various ethnic group musical styles: Hispanic/Cuban, Asian, American Indian, Jewish/Polish, and Scotch/Irish backgrounds.
